How to Adjust your Date and Time

This article is to provide information about how to Adjust your Date and Time, in particular to adjust for Time Zone changes.

Note: The laptops are deployed from locations on the east coast and west coast.  They sync the Date and Time prior to leaving the depots, so may show up initially out of date.  Use the guide below to update the information.

Process

  1. From your desktop, locate the Date and Time in the Lower-Right corner.  Right-Click and select "Adjust Date and Time."
  2. Locate the Toggle named "Set time automatically" and ensure it is "On" or showing Blue.
  3. Next, click the "Sync now" button under Additional settings.  If it has recently synced, it will be greyed out.  The Time zone, Date and Time should now be up to date to your location at the top of the screen.
  4. IF it is not, click "Location Settings" at the top of the screen.
  5. Locate the Toggle named "Location services" and ensure it is "On" or showing Blue.
